The Constitution of 1973 is partly parliamentary and presidential elections, partly in kind. The President of Pakistan shall conduct the affairs of the state by the Prime Minister. The President represents the unity of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Office of the President of Pakistan under the Constitution of 1973
According to the Constitution of Pakistan in 1973, is the president of the constitutional head of state. He is just the head because the constitutional responsibility for the management of the Prime Minister.
Qualifications for election to the office of
Muslim
The presidential candidate must be a Muslim.
45 years old
It must not be less than 45 years old.
If you keep any profit
He may not have profit in the service of Pakistan.
Qualified as a member of the National Assembly elected
There must be a person otherwise qualified to be elected as a member of the National Assembly.
Mentally fit
He should be mentally and physically fit.
Method of choice
The President is elected by the members of Bothe houses of Parliament and the members of provincial assemblies.
Re election
A person by the Office of the President are eligible for re-election of the president.
Procedures for the election to the presidency
The President of Pakistan is elected in a joint session of Parliament. He is elected indirectly. Now the provincial assemblies have been included in the process of electing the President.
Nominations of candidates
On the appointed day of every member of each house must be a candidate and reviewed to inform the appointing authority. The documents are signed nominations are proposed. Certificate of the candidate will also be on the field. After examining the documents give the appointment of the Chief Election Commission announced the name of the candidate.
Vote in Parliament
The Speaker shall convene the joint session of both houses of Parliament on the seizure of the Returning Officer. The election will be held in secret. Counting of votes

The resignation of the President
The President may resign before the term ends. He may resign in writing to the Speaker to be sent.
Restrictions
The president has no gains. He should not be a candidate for election at each meeting and if a member of each assembly is elected president his seat is vacant on the day they are entering his office.
As Chairman
If the office of President by resignation, dismissal, illness, maternity leave, and foreign agencies and the President of the Senate is acting president will be cleared.
Impeachment of the President
Impeachment proceedings in Parliament can be moved if there is an allegation of violation of the constitution, corruption, or if the activity due to perform mentally and physically. The procedure does not send lees than half the members every two houses a written notice to the chairman or president can.
